Clare's Cottage is a charming 1200m2 food forest garden — a high-density, edible landscape. Despite limited time and space, it blends the romantic aesthetic of a traditional cottage garden with the productive, layered structure of a permaculture food forest. The property is home to 18 chicken breeds, a rooster, four ducks, two cats and a toddler. Victoria and Simon make all their own compost and grow much of their food using organic methods, sharing surplus at local crop swaps.
