Inspired by 10 years living in Japan and its space-saving techniques, Peter and Cathy practise self-sufficiency in an urban setting. Blue Cypress Haven is laden with espaliered fruit trees, berries, herbs and raised veggie beds, alongside honey bees, quail for meat and eggs, a hothouse, greenhouse, solar power, vertical growing and memorial planting. Their garden shows that food sovereignty can be achieved in surprisingly small spaces.
