Amy welcomes you to the Waitara Foodbank Pataka Kai. On just 0.2 acre, this vibrant garden demonstrates how to grow abundantly in small spaces using permaculture and hua parakore methods. Discover vertical growing, companion planting, no-dig beds, cold composting, and worm farming. Upcycled structures showcase resourceful DIY solutions, while rainwater collection systems capture every drop. The garden nurtures vegetables, herbs, and community—all rooted in cultural values and shared learning.
